This week we traverse through, “Castlevania” to fight the 8-bit terrors with Simon Belmont and his trusty whip. We remember our first experiences with the game including it’s ban from one household. Also, since we got enough points in Castlevania we unlocked a Miniboss segment with the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive classic, “Streets of Rage 2.”

Why do people hate Simon’s Quest? I love the exploring, the phenomenal music and replay-ability. The ‘vania’ in ‘Metroidvania’ came from there in the series, not SotN. 🙂
SOR1 was a great game (2 is FAR superior) but there wouldn’t have been a 2 w/o a 1. The music is the best music in any game I’ve ever played. Koshiro is a genius.
And Axel says “Bare Knuckle” with a Japanese accent when he does that Fwd > Fwd > B move haha.
Beats of Rage sounds good. I might check that out when I have time.
