- Can you tell us about the baseball players that you have been training?
- Yudi: In your blog and your previous article on t-nation ‘shoulder savers part 2’ you briefly spoke about shoulder issues that normally occur in overhead throwing athletes. You state that the “non-dominant side responds well to added mobility work whereas the dominant side benefits more from extra comprehensive scapular and rotator cuff stability training”. Could you elaborate more on what you mean by that and how it could be implemented practically by trainers working with overhead throwing athletes?
- Cindy: Hi Fitcast Team! I love you show and being an insider. I have made a lot of progress with my pelvic imbalances from Eric Cressey’s comments on the show and his Magnificent Mobility DVD. I’m finally stable enough to do lunges and step ups, however, now I get pain on the inside of my knee and my ankle cracks/crunches. My chiropractor verified that I’m pulling too hard on the joints so they mildly mis-align. Do you have any ideas how can I build stability in my lower legs? Unfortunately bare foot isn’t an option, I wear orthodothics for my flat feet and a 1/4″ lift in one shoe to compensate for a short leg. Yep, I’m a 39 year old, overweight mess – but I’m get stronger every week now!!
- Mike: For people who spend most of the day in front of a computer, what are some mobilizations/corrective exercises that can be performed at the desk? How often should people do these?
